California Market Center: fantastic fashion finds

Okay Smashonistas here is another great deal in LA. The California Market Center aka CMC. It hosts Sample Sales every last Friday of the month. The CMC is home to showrooms of BCBG, Laundry, ABS, True Religion, Maggy London just to name a few. Now this does not mean when you go that the showroom you are looking for is having a sample sale. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. That's just the way it is. But you won't be disappointed. There is some triple F (fantastic fashion find) that awaits you around the corner. This is not for the faint of heart. Code for: you have to make your own dressing room. If you are not comfortable with the possibility of others stripping right in front of you, steer clear. Also CMC is not exclusively home to women's fashion but is divided by floors: menswear on the 4th, accessories on the (forgot what floor), children on...... so on an so forth. The Naked Cake: Fashion Do or Don't?

Oh my Smashonistas. After the initial shock of seeing this cake with MY NAME on it my first thought was: fashion do or fashion don't? Haha Yeah right! Who in the world played a cruel joke on their friend by bringing this unholy cake to their baby shower? Hmmm by the looks of it, must have been a man. Right?! Who really looks like that when they are pushing out an 8 pounder, aside from Kourtney Kardashian? Can someone please put a La Perla robe and nightgown on this poor women.

Celebrity Copycats

Smashonistas, seriously, do we need another celebrity knocking off fashion? I'm not against celebrities. I think a lot of them are great and others worthy of pity but I am sick of the Sean Jean, JLo, Jessica Simpson, and whatever you call that brand Beyonce puts out. The other day my fiance picked up a pair of Sean Jean sunglasses. I didn't have the heart to tell them they were designed by P. Diddy. (Luckily he decided to return them) I'm still on the fence about P.Diddy's rapping skills and acting abilities but come on! Do you have to have your hand in everything? Is not fashion sacred? hahah. Now this! Pathetic knock-off Ray-Ban sunglasses designed by the Olsen Twins, yes that's right the Olsen twins. The same twins that use to design a kids line for Walmart. They are at it again. I say leave it to the experts and go back to singing, acting, dancing, rehab or whatever it is that you celebs do.
